What Is Intuition And How Does It Work?

Intuition Made Easy
A Guide to Discovering Your Inner Power

What is intuition?

Intuition is your ability to sense and understand the subtle information that is all around you. At its best, it will guide you through feelings, images, and sensations, and guide you to clarity.

Facts about intuition:

  1. Everyone is intuitive
Intuition is a part of being human, not a special gift that only a few possess. We are wired to be intuitive.

  2. It is a subtle feeling
It often shows up to us as a gentle nudge, a knowing, or a thought that asks us to pay attention.

  3. It can be strengthened
Frequent practice, paying attention to the messages, and trusting the information that comes will all heighten your intuitive skills.
  4. It comes in quickly
The clearest information is the information that just “pops” into your mind.

  5. It is not fear based
A fearful message is anxious and loud. Intuition is whispery and calm. A true intuitive message will give the same answer over and over again.
  6. Your body is its messenger
Feeling, sensing, and knowing are all messages from Spirit. Physical reactions may include discomfort in a part of the body, “goosebumps”, or sensing a smell or taste.
  7. Stillness supports its growth
Getting quiet, such as being in nature or meditating, can help you to become more aware of your intuitive thoughts. Being grounded will help you take in a message
  8. Its perception is unique to you
You may feel it, see images, hear a message, or just have a knowing. There is NO right or wrong way to receive intuitive messages.
  9. Doubting it is normal
Because the information is coming from the non-physical realm, the message will ALWAYS feel like you just made it up.
  10. Stop worrying about accuracy
A message may not make sense at the moment, but may have great meaning at a later time. Questioning the accuracy of the information you have received engages the thinking mind and minimizes the intuitive message.
  11. Ask for confirmation if the information isn’t clear to you
Ask clear, precise questions of your spirit guides and be open to receive their messages. Our guides, when invited, are eager to communicate with us through a variety of signs and symbols.
  12. You’re already familiar with using your intuition.
Have you ever just known that a next step is the right one for you? Had a hunch that turned out to be a great opportunity? That’s your intuition speaking.
  13. You can enrich your daily life by incorporating intuitive messages
Be open, be playful, and practice often. The more fun you have with this, the more you will perceive, and trusting the message will become easier.
  14. Trust what you receive, even if the message doesn’t seem to make sense
Why would information just leap into your mind if there was not a message in it for you? The door opens when you trust the information you receive without question.
  15. Write down the information and messages that come to you
It is easy to think that you will remember it all, but the information often comes quietly in an ethereal way and is easy to forget. Keeping a journal is a good way to see your progress.
